🎃 What a fun Homecoming Friday! 🐾👻
Queen Delani’s team took the win in the 7th–9th grade volleyball game, while King Arlan’s team won the 10th–12th grade game! 👑 King Arlan and Queen Delani also visited Kindergarten to reward their awesome spirit and behavior, the high school hosted a carnival for our elementary students, and our spirit stick winners were announced! 🏆
Congratulations to the **sophomores** for winning the most dress-up days!
Other spirit stick winners were: Delani, Jacob, Kendrick, Zoe, and Mr. Runnels!
We hope everyone enjoyed the parade, and hope to see you at the football game @ 7 pm in Verdigre vs. the Madison Dragons. Following this will be a dance in Verdigre from 9 pm-12 am!

Yesterday the preschoolers learned all about the life cycle of a pumpkin thanks to the Knox County Extension.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. today, our school was placed in a Hold status out of an abundance of caution due to a student experiencing a crisis. This precautionary measure allowed us to respond appropriately while maintaining a safe environment for all students and staff.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this situation. We will resume normal school operations as soon as possible.
The safety and well-being of our students and staff remain our top priorities. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

2nd grade showing off their school spirit today! GO COUGARS!!!
The Cross Country team was at it again this Thursday at NVC in Ainsworth! Delani took first place in high school girls and Mariah took 9th place! Carson took 6th place and Nolan took 13th in high school boys!
The junior high girls were meet champions and Faith took 2nd, Poppy 4th, Shaley 5th, and Tatum 6th place!
All runners ran a great race and we are so proud of them!
The NPS Book Fair is just about a month away! Save the dates-Nov 9-13. More details to follow. Can't wait to see you all!
The library was visited
by Niobrara Royalty today! King Arlan and Queen Delani stopped by to read to the kindergarten class. Thanks to these two role models for our youngsters.

Kindergarten were learning about living and non-living. So we used earthworms and gummy worms to observe and discuss.
XC meet in Atkinson was a competitive meet with large numbers of runners. Many of our runners had their personal bests with times and Delani received 2nd place in high school girls!
